The short version: We access your Apple Health running data to provide personalized coaching. Your health data stays on your device and is only sent to our AI service when you actively request coaching advice. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Information We Collect

Apple Health Data

With your explicit permission, we access the following data from Apple HealthKit:

• Running workout data (distance, duration, date, time)
• Heart rate samples during workouts
• Pace and split information
• Historical workout records

This data is read directly from Apple Health on your device. You control which data we can access through the Health app permissions, and you can revoke access at any time.

AI Coaching Interactions

When you use the AI coaching feature, your workout data and questions are sent to our secure servers to generate personalized responses. These interactions are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.

Analytics Data

We may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics data to improve the app experience. This includes general usage patterns, crash reports, and app performance metrics. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve our services:

• To display your running statistics and progress
• To provide personalized AI coaching based on your actual workout data
• To show year-over-year comparisons and trends

Data Storage and Security

Your Apple Health data is stored locally on your device and is protected by iOS security features. When you request AI coaching advice, your workout data is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).

We do not maintain a database of your personal health information on our servers. AI coaching requests are processed in real-time and the data is not retained after generating your personalized response.

Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services:

• Apple HealthKit: To access your workout and health data with your permission
• OpenAI: To power our AI coaching features. When you use the AI coach, relevant workout data is sent to OpenAI's API to generate personalized advice. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this data processing.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties for marketing purposes.

Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

• Access: You can view all data the app accesses through Apple Health
• Revoke: You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices
• Delete: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored app data
• Opt-out: You can use the app's statistics features without using the AI coaching feature

Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
